Having CEU Events' state review and recognition for your courses is essential for the credibility and added value to your continuing education program. Previously, attendees were uncertain if a particular course would qualify for the credits they needed until they submitted it to the organization(s). Rejection of the course credits created significant challenges and disruption. To address this issue, CEU Events has developed a comprehensive process that includes reviewing and identifying the organizations' requirements to see if a particular course meets different standards.. This is especially helpful for attendees as it allows them to know in advance which credit(s) they may receive upon completing a course.
What matters most when it comes to meeting as many state requirements as possible with your CE course?
- One designation is so important, it's almost a requirement. Courses with Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) topics will be relevant to your target audience, especially because almost all state licensing boards require and accept that course for credit.
- For architects and interior designers, some states require AIA and/or IDCEC approval. In certain cases, additional paperwork must be submitted along with applicable fees.
- In addition to meeting HSW (Health, Safety, and Welfare) requirements, it is important to be aware that certain states also have specific credit requirements, such as ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), Sustainable Design, Barrier-Free Design, (ZNCD) Zero Net Carbon Design, ethics, and code. It is advantageous for you to develop courses that fulfill multiple requirements whenever feasible.
Why should I care about this if attendees never brought this to my attention?
We have asked ourselves the same question before. We spent almost two years collecting data and building the system for reviewing and recognizing courses. The bottom line is that it needed to be done, and we can proudly say that we are the first company to accomplish this in the construction industry. Now that we have completed the heavy lifting, your courses that are reviewed and recognized by CEU Events will provide:
- Exposure to firms, showrooms, and associations that have CEU Events Places accounts since they actively seek courses that fulfill requirements for their employees, taking into consideration not only their memberships but also their state licenses.
- Clarity on the credits attendees may receive by simply looking at the course detail page, event registration page, and certificate of completion. This eliminates the after-event support, answering attendees' questions about the credits, etc.
- An easy way for attendees to find courses based on the credits they are seeking. We have built organization pages that list public events and courses based on specific organization requirements. In some cases, these links are used by organizations themselves to promote CE programs for their providers, as the data is always up-to-date.
- A way for attendees to easily filter events based on their membership, organize their certificates, and download them when needed for submission.
- All necessary information like course codes, designation, expiry date, etc. wherever applicable.
What is the process for CEU Events to review and recognize my course(s)?
Simply let us know which course you would like us to review and recognize. We will promptly assess if the course meets the necessary qualifications. If the course meets the requirements, we will proceed with reviewing the content and current approvals. We will then create digital paperwork, which will be used to generate documentation for the relevant organizations. It is essential that your company name appears on the transcripts, rather than CEU Events, so we handle the filing and fees on your behalf. The whole process typically takes up to 10 days to receive responses. Once the course is approved by the applicable organizations, our system will identify the specific organizations whose requirements your course meets. We will also manage the course renewals for you.
How much does it cost for CEU Events to review and recognize my course(s)?
Your company must be on our platform, and all plans include at least one review and recognition. Any additional review and recognition can be obtained for a nominal annual fee. This fee includes applicable US state fees and covers the cost of submitting and updating paperwork for any future renewals.
Our mission is to innovate and continuously develop tools that bring benefits to all parties involved. We strive to replace the old, manual, clunky, paper heavy and inefficient processes with our streamlined solutions.
