Best Practices for Managing Incoming CEU Event Requests

Managing CEU event requests efficiently ensures that presenters and providers maximize their time while delivering high-quality educational sessions. Here are some best practices to follow when handling requests that come in through the CEU Events platform.

1. Review Requests Promptly

As soon as a request is received, the presenter should review the details provided by the requestee. All the necessary information can be found under the ‘Requests’ menu. By clicking on the ‘Create Event’ button, you can access detailed contact information and the estimated number of attendees.

2. Pre-Qualify the Requesting Company

Before proceeding, it’s important to assess whether the requesting company aligns with your business goals. If the company is a good fit, reach out to the requestee to arrange a date and time for the CEU session. Sessions can be conducted in person or via webinar—choose the format that makes the most sense for your organization.

Once the event details are confirmed, we recommend converting the request into an event. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do this.

3. Assign Requests to the Right Instructor

If your account is set up with multiple territories selected for the admin only, you can reassign the request to a particular instructor who will then handle the pre-qualification process. Learn how to reassign requests here.

4. Handling Small Firms & Individual Requests

Some requests may come from firms that are too small to justify a dedicated 1-on-1 event. In these cases, consider the following options:

  • Host Monthly or Quarterly Public Webinars – Invite smaller firms and individual professionals to these group sessions to maximize outreach.
  • Offer On-Demand Courses – If the provider has an on-demand course, share the link with the requestee so they can watch the course and receive credit remotely.

5. The Value of Live Instructor-Led Sessions

While on-demand courses provide flexibility, the most impactful learning happens during live, instructor-led sessions. These sessions allow for direct interaction with industry experts, fostering meaningful discussions and building valuable business relationships.

By following these best practices, you can ensure that every CEU request is handled efficiently while providing the best possible educational experience for attendees.
